Back to blogging!

Hello! I'm finally getting back to blogging after over a year off. My previous blog 'Naturally Yummy' was loads of fun to write and was starting to get a few regular followers. Please take a look here. For anyone who ever read Naturally Yummy you will know the idea for the blog was making delicious wholesome food and making healthier alternatives for naughty treats. I wasn't trying to make a diet blog, just to make cakes and biscuits that had some actively good ingredients and would do you good rather than leave you feeling sluggish.

The reason my blog kind of came to a standstill was partly down to the fact I got a new job which for the first month or so took all my time and energy. After getting out of the habit of blogging I kept meaning to get back into it and never did. Secondly, i had already come to realise that I was finding the 'wholesome' branding of my blog a little restrictive. While i love healthy cooking and love taking a recipe and finding ways to cut down on saturates, add fiber, protein or super-foods, I also love good old fashioned fatty, buttery, cheesy, sugary cooking that you know you cant eat every day but that when you do it makes your eyes roll back in your head because its just sooooo good. I felt that because i had introduced Naturally Yummy as a 'health food' blog, although i did a couple of posts which were in no way wholesome, i was generally restricted in what i posted. I wanted to break the mould! (And yes, if you are wondering this is the correct spelling of the word 'mould' in the UK- i double and triple checked. This is not a blog about mouldy food!)

So here's my new blog. 'Baking the Mould'  is a blog for the type of food i love. It is not a health food blog, but i will post wholesome recipes. I will also post disgracefully indulgent recipes and post links to all my other favourite blogs, healthy or not. So keep posted. There will be lots more to come over the coming weeks and months. Here are a few pics of some of the food I've made and loved over the last year. If you like what you see please share and comment and keep reading.

Ciao for now!
